The other night at the art show, somebody had some cut-out art, where they cut out shapes from photographs and placed other photographs underneath. I've seen similar things before, but I don't see a lot of cut-out art around here usually so it inspired me! I fell in love with the technique. I made some simple cut-outs all from one magazine! I think they are so funky looking. :) |

xx
Thanks! This wasn't really my idea though, I just stole the technique. :) I think a lot of people make these!
I think I like the man caressing the nose most of all.
Haha, yeah, that's supposed to be a cake. I call it "cake face", which is funny because the guy is all over her! Boys love girls who cake their faces with make-up!
How cool! I love this technique! And your blog style reminds me of a restaurant that I went to in New York, "Rev'd Up Pi".
Great blog!
I love your blog, Dori. It's so creative! I especially liked the woman with the red lipstick and the man with that nose (or cake!) :-)
These are awesome! I think I wanna go and try it now, too. ;) Dr. Hawa Abdi and the nose muncher below her are my favourites. :)
these are amazing :)
hey!! I loved the girl on the sofa. really nice idea.
love your blog dori. hope you get to be a big hot shot photographer.

Heya Dori, haha well what a talent you are, art is about appropriation, to take something altread there and make it our own, I think your ability shines - and I love your hair in your pic! I'm off to check your animations - see you!
oooh this is really artistic. I haven't seen cut-out art before, this looks like a fun project.
