For school we had to shoot a photo that has to do with diabetes. Here are two shots I came up with:
We had a diabetic girl talk to our class about what it's like to have diabetes. One thing she mentioned was that she had to take a needle before every meal. This is kind of what it felt like to me.
I know it's really common to see diabetes pictures linked with images of sugar, but I really thought it would be neat to make an actual scale out of sugar itself. It was hard work!

these are really good. The first made me feel emotional, that's gotta be rough : /
i love that first one! so creative..
I liked the pictures.
and for a lesson you are asked to do such things?
The second picture is totally perfect. I used to date a diabetic & he used to tell me that it's a balance of sugar content that he needs to watch. Perfect imagery. =)

these are awesome!
your photos are really conceptualized and creative :)
Thank you!!
Viktoria, I think the reason we had this as an assignment was because there is also a diabetes photo contest going on for mostly just Humber students. I guess it makes sense to turn it into an assignment so that more of us do it. :)
both really clever. I think the fact that your teacher is making you aware of things beyond photography is great too
your photos and the concept behind them are perfect!
BTW, you've been tagged! If you're up for it share 7 secrets...to see wth I'm talking about, check out my blog!

I like your view on things...gonna grab a snack and read more of your postings...too cute.
wow!!! these are awesome!!! really! your photos remind me of Chema Madoz. NICEEEEEEEE!
my stepdad has diabetes. this is pretty right on. he had to take his insulin with ever meal, and we couldn't go out too often because of the timing.
These are pretty amazing. This is a very sensitive and empathetic take on a subject that affects millions of people. A friend was just diagnosed and I think these would really speak to her about how she's feeling right now. Thanks for sharing. - G
