I decided to make some eerie sand creatures today. They're pretty fun to make and I might make some more. What inspired me to use sand in art today was a video somebody showed me. A talented artist from Ukraine named Kseniya Simonova makes sand art animations with music. She has plenty from what I saw on YouTube, but this is the one I watched and it's so sad but beautiful. - A must see! |

LOVE IT!
I'm not sure exactly what they are but they are cute. I wonder if you could do a bunch of stills of them, string them together and make a mini-movie.
Probably too much work but still it's pretty interesting.
Tirz
These are great.... I think they are cute too!! xo
those are so amazing! and i love that video! so mesmerizing.
I was wondering the same a Tirz, you could do a movie from stills!
I'm not sure but is the first one an owl?
It looks like one.
They look so awesome anyway :)
And that video and the artist are great!
Love,
Ana
Beautiful,Tragic and Inspiring..
i wonder waht's the message behind it..I miss my parents now..
Thank you for sharing.
Sand art is awesome. I've never seen anything like it. It's interesting that art can come out of anything.
Tirz, that's a good idea. I've tried making photo-movies before but my camera sucks. The lighting never stays the same or the camera moves a little bit.
Maybe I'll try with this sometime! Thanks!
